My “Removable Murals” emerged in 2006 from the need to break away from the limits of the canvas and, at the same time, to overcome the inherent drawback of murals: their impossibility of being moved from one place to another without compromising the work itself. In these pieces, I combined the pictorial qualities of mural technique with cut canvas strips, bringing in the distinctive texture that characterizes my paintings.
